Fills up: Half the crib

Luke is bigger than his 7 year old sister.
It was fun to celebrate Luke's 7m birthday with a Lullaby Concert for the Doula Foundation. I got to hold my baby in a beautiful stain-glass filled sanctuary while talented singers belted out the most gorgeous lullabies you have ever heard. Every Mom should have this privilege!
We had another big moment today. There comes a time in every mother's "motherhood" where the decision of "who gets to choose the hairstyle" must be relinquished from Mom to Daughter. I have always been good about letting Elle fix her own hair, which I'm sure is why we got a letter home from Kindergarten last year asking if our family would like to be considered for a Christmas Basket. I fix it when the occasion is important enough and let her make most of the hair related decisions. She has been BEGGING to have it cut for months and I've worn myself out fighting this battle. She is old enough to remember long time spent by the pool trying to yank tangles out and she is over it! It's her hair, so I finally broke down and let her chop it.
Bye Bye Gorgeous Hair!

Hello Gorgeous Girl!!

She has been twirling around and singing songs from Annie ever since.
